QUALITY AD READ

HOW DO YOU CREATE A QUALITY AD READ THAT CONVERTS?

You just secured your first podcast advertiser!
Now you have to produce an ad that converts, but you have no idea what makes a quality ad read. 

We coach the podcasts we represent to deliver high converting ads using the following formula:

1. Always use the product/service.

2. Create a personal story about the product/service to use in the ad read.

3. Make sure the listeners can relate to the story.
Try to create an experience that you and your listeners may be facing and how this product/service will help overcome it.

4. Don’t rush the ad and watch your tone.
Make sure the ad read is the same pace and tone as your regular episodes.

5. Don’t list the features.
But, make sure to include the 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦 of the product/service and how it helped you with your problem.

6. A unique call-to-action.
Something that is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 on the advertiser website or other promotional material. Spell out the URL or promo code twice.

7. Practice.
Create ad reads for household items. Record them, and then get a friend/family member to give you feedback.

HOW MUCH COULD YOU CHARGE PER AD?

Podcast advertising can vary in price depending on the target demographic of the podcast. 

Typically podcasts range in price from $20-$50 CPM (cost per thousand).

At True Native Media, most of the podcasts we represent are priced at a $30 CPM.

Some podcasts are a bit higher and others are a bit lower depending on the size, subject matter, and whether or not the podcast sells out their ad inventory. 

We put together custom proposals for each of the advertisers we work with to ensure that they are receiving the best rates and best advertising schedule for their goals.
